Jade Jinadu

I graduated from the Arts & Media theme in 2012. I completed a 6-week internship at Olswang LLP during my time on the network (and I am still in contact with them now!), which shaped my decision to study Law at university in order to pursue a career as a solicitor.

I am currently in my final year of Law at Queen Mary University. The Network was extremely beneficial to me: it helped me to gain confidence, communication skills, professionalism, and many other invaluable skills.

My mentor was very helpful and supportive – she helped me with university applications, career advice, interview preparation and so much more. We are still in contact now and she’s more than happy to help me out when I need it.

Before doing my internship at Olswang (a huge media law firm), I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, but getting practical experience was instrumental in my decision to study Law at university in order to pursue a career as a solicitor. Everyone was very welcoming and supportive at Olswang and it was organised and structured very well, with activities such as interview preparations, CV advice, mock interviews, networking opportunities etc. I was treated as an employee, not a student and I was very motivated and determined once I had finished my internship. I will now be applying to Olswang in the future!
